German WWI 98 manufactured by Danzig in 1917. Rifle was arsenal refurbished approximately in 1935 by Mauser. Right side of barrel is marked ""S/42G"" with inspectors markings. Serial numbers are matching, including the wood. Stock has a repaired crack at the wrist. Bore is excellent. An desirable re-issued 98 Mauser!
