Presenting a 100 per cent condition Deutsche Waffen-Und Muntion Fabriker in caliber 30 Luger. Year of Manufactuer 1917. The firearm has included a holster that fits the firearm, and one extra magazine but the serial number on the extra magazine is different which is not unusual. Serial number on the firearm is 6243.
This firearm comes from the colletion of LTCol. Thomas D. Smith III, Olympic Gold Metal winner in 1963 while a member of the US International Pistol Team where he set the record which remains unbroken and unbeaten of 597X600. He is featured in the NRA museum. His background included being a F-4E flight leader in Vietnam. Winner of over 79 national and world records with a pistol and rifle including gold metals in two Pan-American games. He survived a plane crash in Greece, saved three people and was the one that that found air assets to locate them, after landing in a snow bank after the plane came apart. He is a avid shooter and big game hunter.
