Description:
Colt single action SAA made in 1881 in .45 caliber. Lots of finish in the gun. Barrel address no longer readable. This is an old cowboy ranch gun that eventually made its way to HOLLYWOOD and was on the hip of many Hollywood actors in westerns. The EEE on the frame represents markings for Ellis Merchantile and Props Hollywood California. In the fifties these real Colts were rented to studios for about $4.00 per week but they also cost a hec of a lot less than now!!
Action is pretty good. All clicks present but the third click is soft or absent but solid lock up on 4th click. Overall a decent well used but well cared for gun. Grips look like they have age but not originals. Antique gun ships direct for $39.
