Manufactured in 1956 by Winchester Repeating Arms Company, this Winchester Model 70 "Standard Weight" bolt-action rifle is a classic, sure shooter. This rifle has a blued Winchester Proof Steel barrel fixed with a hooded ramp front sight and Lyman series-6 fold-down rear sight. Featuring a frosted blued action, matching hollow handled bolt with 3 position safety, Weaver bases installed in correct factory drilled holes, walnut checkered 1-piece Monte Carlo stock with steel Widow's Peak checkered buttplate, and factory sling swivels. This rifle also includes box containing packing material, leather sling and post-64 Model 70 manuals. This rifle is accompanied by its original factory box of corresponding serial numbers containing packing material, leather sling and post-64 Model 70 manual, equating to a valuable addition to any collection.
