We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

Having one firearm that can be rechambered from one cartridge to another on short notice has always had an allure to it for many sportsman and the Thompson Center Encore certainly has its admirers. The Encore in pistol form has a The .460 S&W Magnum was built for use in Smith & Wesson’s new X-frame revolvers alongside its cousin the .500 S&W Magnum. Naturally, the revolver was called the Model 460. It more powerful than even the famed .454 Casull. The .460 S&W is naturally designed to deal with the heaviest North American game and is suited for that purpose very well. Shortly after its introduction, Thompson Center began offering their Encore rifle and pistol versions in the caliber. However, this pistol also comes with a spare barrel chambered for the relatively new .338 Federal. The .338 Federal was designed to deliver more power than its parent, the .308 Winchester, while retaining a better ballistic trajectory than its older sibling, the .358 Winchester. The .338 Federal is well suited to hunting medium to large game within 300 yards. As such, the owner of this pistol has two options for hunting depending upon their taste or local supply of ammo. Again the ability to switch between calibers certainly gives the owner of an Encore multiple options that single-caliber firearms do not. There are many calibers available for the Encore from both the factory and aftermarket vendors. Such options include the .22 LR, .223 Rem, .22-250, .243 Winchester, .25-06 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win, .280 Rem, 7mm-08, .30-06 Springfield, 308 Win, .300 Win Mag, .338 Win Mag, .35 Remington, .35 Whelen, .45-70 Gov’t and even the .500 S&W Magnum. This example has seen a fair amount of use. There are some small scratch marks on the bottom of the 460 barrel. The receiver exhibits only light handling wear. The rear sight of the 338 barrel exhibits light pitting. The bores of both barrels are in excellent shape with no rust present.
