BRESCIA Youth Training Rifle with FOLDING SPIKE BAYONET C&R Smaller Version of the Model 1891 CARCANO CARBINE! Here we present a C&R Italian F.N.A. (Fabbrica Nazionale d'Armi) Marked Brescia Arsenal Youth Training Rifle manufactured circa 1934 at the Italian Military Brescia Arsenal. This is a smaller version of the Model 1891 Carcano Cavalry carbine. They were made to fire 6mm blank cartridges and were equipped with a folding spike bayonet. These were issued to boys in the organization “Figli della Lupa” (Children of the She Wolf) ages 6-8. Theory was, there were different rifles for the different youth organizations, starting with this non-bullet firing one. Then the next training rifle, and so on, until they were ready for a full-size gun when they joined the army, because it is truly a miniaturized Carcano. This way the child would familiarize themselves with the rifle from the age of 6 all the way to 18. These are very difficult to find and highly collectable. Manufactured throughout the early 1930s, this example is marked 1934. This example still has the original folding spike bayonet attached. This was a presentation model and at one time had a plaque on the right side for the recipient, which is now absent. The overall condition is good. Robust action. Slightly frosted, bright bore. Solid stock. The wood contains an expected amount of wear. The bayonet fully functions. “1934” dated barrel. Here is a small rifle in stature but long in history! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 14-1/4 inches. Caliber: 6mm Blank Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
