Description:
Smith Corona Model 1903-A3 with 24" barrel, .30-06 chambering. Four groove barrel rifling, The stock and handguard are both walnut. Has specified Hatcher hole on left side of receiver. The rifle retains 90+% of the original parkerized finish with only some light cycling and edge wear. The wood is also good with some minor dents and nicks. All markings and cartouches are very clear. Excellent condition!
The action is strong and tight with a smooth bolt pull. The bore is bright throughout. This example sports a solid stock with multi circle “P” proofed stock to the rear of the trigger guard. “FJA” stamped on the left stock. Numerous stamps and inspection marks on the forestock forward of the trigger housing and magazine. Barrel shows flaming bomb with punch mark and the date 4-43 Under SC near the front sight. Bolt marked R.
