Description:
This is a genuine James Warner .28 caliber Pocket Pistol. Manufactured from 1857 into the Civil War. Six shots. 3" barrel. It is extremely well made and there were only a few hundred of these pistols manufactured. I have only seen a few Warners in more than fifty years of collecting, and have never seen one as well preserved as this one. It is simply beautiful and there is nothing missing, damaged, or worn on the revolver. Looks like it just came from the factory both inside and out. As clean as it is, I see no direct indication that it has been refinished, though the grips appear to have been cleaned. Bore is pretty good. Indexes well on all six chambers. Numbers match including original grips. This is an excellent Civil War era pocket revolver that is seldomly seen in this condition. Trades possible on other percussion or rim fire pistols of the period. Postal money order or personal check. Possible lay away. SOLD
