Manufactured in 1951, this classic Winchester Model 97 slide-action shotgun set the standard for repeating shotguns at the time of its 1897 introduction. This gun features Winchester proofs on the barrel and receiver, a round steel barrel with bead front sight, factory blued finish, oil finished wood stocks with a ribbed forearm, and a checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate. This nostalgic shotgun was revolutionary in its WWI implementation, and represents the early evolution of shotgun technology.
