Only 8000 of this Second Model made for the State of New Jersey in 1861. Rifled 3 groove .69 cal. 42” barrel dated 1861 and stamped “N.J.” at the breech. Also stamped “H&P” and proofed with an oval “P” proof. Lockplate with crisp US/ eagle and Springfield/ 1829 date. 100% original with all metal surfaces in the white now with crisp acceptance stamps on all parts as they should be(S, SB as well as same "S" forward of lockplate. Superb stock with all the finish(under lacquer to preserve) and mint cartouches. Superb near mint bore and crisp rifling. Original ramrod.
