Description:
Got a Kim Ahrends Full Size Full Build Custom 1911 45ACP built on a Les Baer frame and slide. The frame is a very early Les Baer frame. The serial number is 34X as the last number of the frame is covered. Barrel is oversized Barsto and the checkering is all, repeat all 40 LPI by hand. The front strap, main spring housing, front of trigger guard, slide stop, magazine release and rear of slide. Trigger guard has been squared. Build is dated at 1998 as shown on the dust cover. At that time there the technology of CNC was not as available as it is now. The blue is a very, very, hi polish almost mirror and it is difficult to show that in the pictures.
Yes, you read that right a full-house custom 1911 built by grip maker extraordinaire. Many people do not realize in addition to his fine grip making skills he has some matching 1911-smithing skills, unfortunately his constant grip production makes guns coming out of his shop a very rare thing, in fact this is the only the second one I have seen in about 30 years of working with custom firearms.
Gun is used and there is no round count. There will be no estimate. If you look close at the pictures there are very, very few signs of being fired. There are no signs of being holstered or other use.
The firearm had NO magazine so we have included a new in package magazine as you can see in the pictures. We tried to get as much detail as we could in the pictures.
There is everything you see in the pictures with the gun. Meaning the gun, one magazine and no paperwork. Please keep in mind this build was in 1998 and before mcuh of the modern building enhancements. The 40 LPI is hand done so if you see a flaw somewhere.
Look closely at the pictures as what you see in what you get.
