First produced as a discounted alt. to the wonderful 700 Series for a number of reasons these turned out to be exceptioanlly accurate, so much so that many have been turned into target rifles (google this for the explanation of accuracy)
Save for a little crud on the left side of the receiver and a small compression mark on the stock, it is in the same conditon as when it left the Remington Plant in Illion NY in 1982. These were produced from 1967 until 1982 in different cal's and some barrel lenghts; 222 being one of the lst chamberings, this is a final yr production gun in 1982 and is in truely exceptional condition except as described.
Barrel is 24" and comes with Redfield one pc base and rings (a little crud on left side of the of the scope base)
