The Rock-Ola barrel is not dated. The bore is bright with sharp lands. All of this Rock-Ola's parts and stock are correct Rock-Ola parts for the serial number range and time frame. This carbine also has the rare feature of having a National Postal Meter Bolt. This National Postal Meter bolt was part of a shipment of parts cleanup bolts that were sent to Rock-Ola to use in their production. These bolts were shipped to Rock -Ola around October of 1943. There were 1000 bolts delivered in that shipment. This National Postal Meter Bolt has a Rock-Ola coded firing pin and extractor installed. The bolt shows wear consistant with the wear of the rest of the carbine. This carbine shows service wear and use. The stock and handguard have no cracks or damage to the wood. The stock is a oval cut, high wood stock. The stock has the correct RMC in a box with crossed cannons. The handguard is also correctly coded RMC. There are dents and marring due to war time use and wear to the wood. The carbine itself is in very fine condition. The parkerizing is intact. The bolt has faded bluing. The action is crisp and works correctly. This carbine has the original front and rear sight intact. The magazine is correctly coded Rock-Ola. The sling and oiler are World War 2 Issue.
