Remington New Army, 44 cal, 6 shot, antique cap and ball Remington New Model Army Revolver. Desirable authentic possible Civil War Percussion revolver. Brass trigger guard. In good condition. The mechanism is in excellent working condition. Has a 'W' in front of the trigger guard. Serial #122040. marked on the left grip frame. Barrel is marked Patented Sept 14, 1858, “Remington & Sons, Illion NY USA”, New Model. Barrel has excellent lands and grooves and no pitting. Frame has some of the original finish, primer nipples are solid and clear. Lockup is tight. Ships as antique. No FFL required. The grips have been modified as can be seen in the photos. The frame and cylinder are well marked with the inspectors marks.
