This is one of the last Colt 1911 commercial produced pistols. After this year the Colt model was changed to the 1911 A1 series. This pistol has the right original commercial barrel. This barrel is in very fine condition with a bright bore and sharp lands. The original grips are in very fine condition . There is very little wear or point loss. The magazine is the correct style civilian magazine. The two tone magazine has no dents or other damage. The magazine is in very fine condition. The original bluing has some muzzle wear on the side of the slide. There is some light loss of bluing on the front grip strap. The bluing would rate a strong 95% overall condition. The grips would rate a 97% condition. This is a well cared for pistol that has seen some honest use and wear. This is a very nice condition original Colt last year of the 1911 series of pistols.
