Merkel 203 Hand detachable 5 pin sidelock. Three barreled set. Used. 90%+ condition.Serial #68353 Double Kersten cross bolt with 3rd fastner through the bottom of receiver similar to the 303 model. All 26" & vent rib. barrels. Ivory bead sights incl. mid-bead. Mfg. Jan. 1968 20ga. has 2 3/4" chambers. Choke designation on brls. is .628/.629 28ga. has 2 3/4" chambers with choke designation of .548/.549 .410 brls. measure approx. .400 both brls. Custom stocked by the great Bill McGuire. Straight English stock with Shadow line Bavarian Ovate cheek piece for RH shooter. 14 1/4" LOP to red Pachmayr Old English recoil pad. True Fleur deLis hand checkering. Long tang metal with long tang checkering. Single Non-selective trigger. Manual safety. Selective automatic ejectors. Left side of receiver has semi-deep hand engraving of two Setter dogs with flushing game birds. Right side has flying eagle attacking rooster pheasant and two more flying and Hare running away. This is a great scene. Arabesque engraving with Suhl gunsmith on bottom of receiver. The only blemish in the wood that I can find is a zipper looking scrape near the end of the forearm on both the right & left sides of the 20 ga. The .410 forearm has a very small piece of wood gone where it meets the top of the bottom piece on the right side near the front end.
