Description:
Merkel model 203 Hand detachable 5 pin sidelock. Mfg. June 1966. Used 90%+ condition. Serial #64753 20 & .410 ga. barrels. 20ga. has 2 3/4" chambers and measures approx..600 at the muzzles. .410 barrels are 3" chambers and measure approx. .400 at the muzzles. Both sets are 26" With vented ribs and Ivory front bead. Custom stocked in AAA Turkish walnut. Hand checkered and carved long tang on the butt stock. 14 3/4" LOP to a red Pachmayr recoil pad. Same forearm for both sets of barrels. Forearm bottom half is similar to the old skeet/trap Ovate style of yesteryear. Single, selective mechanical trigger. Manual safety. Right side of receiver has hand engraved dog retrieving pheasant with 4 more pheasants in the scene. Left side of receiver is Flying hawk attacking Hungarian partridge with 5 others flying escape. Arabesque engraving with Suhl gunsmith on the bottom of receiver. 3 small gun safe/handling marks towards the bottom of buttstock. It's a beauty. This is a ROCK BOTTOM PRICE. Bet you can't find any comparable shotgun for close to this price~!
