HIGH CONDITION, ANTIQUE, SPECIAL ORDER 1892 HALF OCTAGON/FULL MAGAZINE RIFLE IN .32-20 CALIBER, #100XXX, MADE 1898. The half octagon barrel with full magazine is actually two special order features because when half octagon barrels were ordered they came standard with half-magazines unless special ordered with a full magazine. This is why almost all half octagon rifles are encountered with half magazines. This rifle shows fine deep barrel and mag blue with only some very light wear/thinning. It retains the original buckhorn rear sight with small Winchester blade front sight. The receiver shows deep and bright blue on the sides and bolt with normal gray edge wear and some gray on the bottom around the serial number from normal carry. The screws look unturned and there is good blue on the loading gate. Excellent stock and forend showing light handling only and one small ding on the right side of the wrist. Wood to metal fit is extremely tight and even the forend cap retains some fine blue. The bore is bright, sharp and excellent! A rare 1892 in great condition plus an antique to boot!
