Description:
SOLD ******* Pending receipt of funds ******Colt Post WWII Single Action Army (SAA) Early 2nd Generation .38 special caliber revolver in very rare nickel finish.  6 shot, 5.5 inch barrel.  Manufactured in 1957 (second year of production).  Second generation guns were made between 1956 and 1974.  SN = 9,172SA  SN range = 0001SA to 73,205SA.  The very earliest models (those with SN less than 10,000 - like this gun) have become more desirable.  .38 caliber is the rarest caliber of this model.  .38 caliber models were not made after 1965.  Only 242 guns were made in this configuration.  The interrelationship of barrel length, caliber, finish and year of manufacture makes this a rare production variance and a highly collectible gun.  Also known as the "Peacemaker".

Three western style holsters with matching gun belts that fit this gun and 26 rounds of chrome plated Remington .38 special ammunition for display in the gun belt ammo loops are available from this seller, but are not included in the price of the gun.  They are available for purchase for an additional cost (see photos).
