Description:
S&W model 36 Chiefs Special, .38 special, 5-shot revolver with 1 3/4" barrel. Late 1950's manufacture with the later discontinued flat latch cylinder release. Very nice little "J" frame .38 that has been in a holster a lot more than it was ever fired; notice the lack of marks on the breech face and lack of wear on the front of the cylinder. Grips are: Fitz ten-O-grip brand molded plastic right-hand grips that feel great. The gun is solid and mechanically perfect. I would suggest a Wolf spring kit; the single action is nice but the double action operation is heavy!
This is the iconic/classic .38 "snubby", with the bit of holster and handling wear the original blue retains 95% finish!
