Description:
Serial #817. This knife measures 10 1/8" overall (with blade extended) and has a 4" single-edged “ROSTFREI" stainless blade with the SMF “Sitting King" trademark on the obverse face. The steel is in nearly excellent condition overall with only minor scratches and scuffs, some mild sharpening marks along the edge, as well as matching serial numbers on the retention spring and on the thumb-latch. The folding awl has a clear and crisp “(eagle)/L 5" Luftwaffe inspection proof at the base and otherwise matches the condition of the rest of the metal perfectly. The wooden grip panels are in fine shape and have several minor handling marks in the original oil finish on either side. This is an extremely nice Luftwaffe gravity knife, and rates excellent condition overall.
