The Smith & Wesson Model 48-3 Revolver is an example of the classic revolver designs that helped develop the brand's reputation among the most prestigious firearm manufacturers in the business. This Model 48-3's classic design incorporates a checkered walnut grip with a glossed finish and Smith & Wesson's signature medallions embedded on each side. The revolver also includes a red ramp front sight, a black blade micro adjustable factory rear sight, contoured thumb rest on the left-side, color casehardened trigger and hammer, a blued finish to the frame, cylinder and barrel. The left-side of the barrel is marked "Smith & Wesson", while the right-side reads "22 M.R.F. CTG.". Beneath the cylinder on the right-side of the frame reads "Made in U.S.A. - Marcas Registradas - Smith & Wesson - Springfield, Mass."
