The Smith & Wesson Model 17-4 Revolver is an exceptionally accurate six-shot, double-action .22 caliber revolver highlighted by an extended barrel. This medium-sized K-frame construction is composed of a diamond checkered walnut grip with a glossed finish and Smith & Wesson medallions embedded on each side, contoured thumb rest on the left-side, a color case hardened finish to the hammer and serrated trigger, and a blued frame, cylinder, and barrel. This revolver is zeroed with a micrometer click adjustable rear sight and a fixed front sight ramp. The right-side of the barrel is marked ".22 Long Rifle C.T.G.", while the right-side of the frame is marked "Made in U.S.A. - Marcas Registradas - Smith & Wesson - Springfield, Mass." beneath the cylinder. The Smith & Wesson trademark and logo are located to the rear of the cylinder on the right-side.
