On Hold Sale pending. Civil War Colt Special 58 caliber contract musket in very good attic found condition. The lock is marked US / Colts / Colt / PT FA Mfg & Co./ Hartford CT / 1863. The full length 40 inch barrel has rifling but needs cleaning and has the front sight. The rear site is missing apparently broke off long ago and a replacement sight is included with the screw. The walnut stock is untouched in very good condition. The lock Mechanics are strong and crisp. Both sling swivels and original ramrod is included. All metal parts have a dark attic brown patina with scattered pitting. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Very good attic find which has not been cleaned or messed with. Shipping will be actual cost approximately $50.00.
