On Hold Sale Pending. Civil War 1862 dated Tower musket in .577 caliber. The lock is marked Tower 1862, Crown, no VR indicating civil war import possibly confederate. The full length barrel has original front and rear sights and rifled bore. The dark walnut stock is in good condition but has some hairline cracks on the left flat and behind the lock.all iron parts have a attic dark brown patina with scattered pitting. The but plate and trigger gaurd have a dark almost black patina. This original civil war import musket appaears to be all original and complete with both sling swivels and ramrod.
