Here is a beautiful Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 in the highly sought after and exceedingly rare .358 Fwt.! S/N 365*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. 22" slim profile barrel. Aluminum butt plate and bottom metal. 98% Blue, 99% Varnish. These rifles seldom surface for sale and are most often overpriced for what they really are, with obvious discrepancies and misinformation in their descriptions. Basically, 358s must have the following features: LOW comb stock, tall 22K rear leaf sight, and proper barrel stamp. As you can see, this rifle meets all of those criteria precisely. There were only 2000 of this caliber ever made representing less than 1/2 of 1% total production, and many of those were recalled, resulting in even fewer left in circulation.
