This Browning Superposed Grade III O/U 12-gauge Shotgun epitomizes the attention to detail and overall brilliance of Browning’s shotgun designs. The legendary Superposed is an ongoing favorite among bird hunters, competitive target shooters, and collectors alike. Manufactured in Belgium, this Grade III is composed of a reddish-brown rubber recoil pad, a smooth walnut stock with checkering at the fore and rear grips, engraved silver medallions on each sign of the forend, a checkered and scrolled top lever, right side plate engraved with a scene depicting a gathering of grounded pheasants with the left side showing a pair of birds in flight, and on the bottom between the trigger guard and forend is a bird dog transporting a downed pheasant in his mouth. This delicately crafted double-gun is highlighted by illustrious scrollwork located throughout both side plates, the bottom of the trigger guard, upper and lower tang, and the forend release latch.
