First introduced in 1958, this 1st issue Ruger Bearcat has a compact solid alloy frame and is regarded as a well-made, durable revolver by gun enthusiasts worldwide. Featuring a cylinder engraved in gold with forest scenery, a bear, and “RUGER” in a large font, “Strum. Ruger & Co. – Southport, Conn.” And the Ruger logo displayed in gold on the blued barrel’s left side, gold plated trigger guard assembly, a blued frame, and wood grips housing silver Ruger medallions. This Bearcat equates to an aesthetically pleasing, classic American revolver, with its value as a collectible projected to rise in the near future.
