Excellent plus overall original condition. Dated "10.4" (October 1929), with leather holster, shoulder strap, and cleaning rod.
Manufactured in October 1929, this Japanese Type 14 Nagoya 8mm Nambu pistol comes with an original leather holster and sling, making for an excellent addition to any WWI-WWII era collection. The Type 14 was developed early in the first half of the 20th-century, and by 1927, it had become the standard issue sidearm for officers of the Empire of Japan. While the Type 14 saw action in the Russo-Japanese War and the First World War, it would go on to cement its legacy during WWII as it was a distinguished symbol of prestige within the Japanese ranks. The design incorporates a signature circular knob at the end of the slide, narrow wooden grips, a circular trigger guard, round-bottom magazine, and a blued finish.
