The Ruger No. 1’s top-tier performance is aided by a strong, compact falling-block breech mechanism with artillery-style breechblock and under-lever which is ideally suited for today's powerful cartridges. This rifles also incorporates a cold hammer-forged barrel providing precise rifling, sliding tang safety, black rubber recoil pad, steel grip cap housing a gold Ruger medallion, checkering at the rear and fore grips, sling swivel studs, and attached scope rings. This rifle makes for an excellent deer or mid-sized game hunting rifle, in addition to a highly accurate, single-shot target rifle.
