Description:
Padrone round body 28 gauge O/U shotgun. These guns were made for Padrone by Brescia, Italy gun maker, Marcheno. The gun has similarities to some of the B. Rizzini and FAIR guns in appearance and function.
I would call this gun a “funeral” model due to its obvious lack of engraving and/or other external embellishment. Rather it features extremely clean lines and a very deep/dark blue on the round body and the barrels. The only exception is the name Pardone inlaid in gold on both sides and the gold inlaid quail bust on the top lever.
Barrels are 29 1/8” long, topped with a narrow 7/32” raised solid rib and fitted with choke tubes.
Anson style forearm release fitted in the front of the narrow forearm. The buttstock has a Prince-of-Wales style grip; 14 ½” LOP over a wood butt plate; 1 ½” DAC and 2 ¼” DAH. The wood is accent with very dark streaks of grain running throughout; finished in a satin oil.
Single selective trigger. Automatic safety. Weighs 5 lbs. 15 oz. and the 29 1/8” tubes are balances perfectly.
Maybe its been fired; maybe not? 99%+ finishes and cased in maker’s luggage case.
