Description:
This offering is for an excellent, possibly never re-issued post WWII rebuid of a double heat-treated MK I '03. This example appears to have been re-arsenalled at the Raritan Arsenal circa 1946 to 1955. This very high-condition rifle is complete and fully functional and the headspacing has been checked. This piece comes with many pre-WW2 components, including a very sharp SA barrel dated 8-32. The bore is bright and sharp and guages .3005, indicating very light use. There is an attractive cosmoline patina on the metal surfaces, throughout. The SC manufactured butt-stock and handguard appear to be unsanded since the rebuild and display a number of inspector markings, including a lightly stamped RA-P at the wrist. I would describe this rifle as being an exceptionally nice, mid-level collector that would probably make a fine range rifle. Please be advised however that shooter safety is the sole responsibility of the buyer and that no warranty of any kind is offered or implied on any previously owned firearm. The buyer is strongly urged to have this item checked for safety and proper function by a licensed gunsmith prior to firing. Please examine the photos carefully and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. This item must be shipped to an FFL holder. There is a flat fee of $55.00 for insured shipping to the contiguous US, via UPS ground. FFL fees are the responsibilty of the buyer. There is a three day, non-firing, no disassembly inspection period starting from the time the item is delivered to the FFL holder. Any returns must be received in the exact same condition in which they were originally sent out. Thanks for your interest.
