WWII Winchester M1 Carbine, 1st Block Production approx. May 1943. SN:1226741. Winchester Proof marked barrel found 6.5 inches from the muzzle, Milled Type I unmarked sight with typical Winchester thumbnail cut behind the sight blade, two dismount notches on receiver, type II recoil plate marked "W", barrel band marked "C", unmarked small sling swivel, push button safety marked "EW", Type III magazine catch marked "W", Oval cut low wood stock with unmarked sling well SA marked on inside left front, unmarked oiler, olive drab sling with early C-tip and early flat buckle, early Winchester splatter butt plate, Type II handgaurd W/2 rivets marked "PU", Type II flat bolt, rear sight marked "SA".
Overall a very nice Winchester M1 carbine ready to enjoy shooting a piece of WWII US history at the range or be a safe Queen. I'm no expert on carbines so please inspect the pictures and ask any questions. I'm a one man store and I answer the phone, Jerry. ) Interesting trades considered
