Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. The Winchester Model 1894 is one of the most widely used rifles in history. It can be considered “The Deer Hunting rifle”, as it, along with the .30-30 cartridge, has arguably been used to take more deer than any other rifle/cartridge combination in history. Designed by the famous John Browning, the Model 1894 (often shortened to just ’94 or 94) was produced as the first commercial smokeless powder rifle, and in combination with the .30-30 Winchester round (introduced in 1895) set the benchmark for deer hunting rifle and cartridges everywhere. Indeed, the .30-30 Winchester is considered the benchmark round in the category of rifle cartridges suitable for deer hunting. This rifle is a pre-64 and is in excellent condition considering its age (71 years as of 2021). There are a few minor marks on the wood furniture, and few points of bluing loss on the lower tang. However, the overall bluing is in roughly 98 percent condition and the wood finish is perfect. There are some light scratches on the right hand side of the receiver. Some of the screws have been partly worn in the slot but should still work using a proper size flat head screwdriver. The rifle’s bore is in wonderful shape. This rifle would be at home with any Winchester collection.
