Description:
.54 caliber, 36" round barrel secured by three with retaining springs. The barrel and lock dated "1829". Flintlock lock and marked "U.S." / "Deringer/ PhilaDa". Full length walnut stock with oval patchbox. The metal parts showing a gray gunmetal color overall with the lock slightly more plum. Crisp markings. Very fine wood with nice sharp edges and free from repairs with only minor handling and storage marks. Good bore showing wear to the rifling. The hammer is most likey a later replacement. Overall very nice.
