We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

The Winchester Model has been a staple of American hunting and target competition since its introduction in 1936. In 1963 a few changes were made to the design, and the first of the newer rifles were produced in 1964. This led to the terms “pre-64” and “post-64”. While there has been much debate over the years about which version is “better”, the fact remains that both are excellent rifles in their own right. In fact, the Model 70, in any variation, is well known for its accuracy and quality. This particular example appears to be a Model 70A or similar variation since it has a blind magazine rather than a hinged floorplate. The rifle is in excellent condition and seems to have seen little use. The barrel has a recessed crown for improved accuracy. The front lens cover is missing a chunk out of one side but that is easily replaced accessory. The rifle’s finish is essentially untouched. The magazine holds the standard 5 rounds, which is actually superior to modern, fixed-magazine bolt action rifles which usually hold a mere 4 rounds. The scope is in good shape and gives a clear view of the target. Chambered for the near universal 30-06, this rifle would be affective for use against a wide variety of game ranging from varmints to large game. Available bullets for the 30-06 range from light weight 110gr bullets for varmints, up to 220gr bullets for heavy game animals. This would make an excellent hunting rifle.
