Description:
Large Gambling Hall, Poker Chip Rack. The chips are Victorian era celluloid chips (a bit fancier than clay). Housed in wooden rack with slots for two decks of cards.
The OVAL case is 10 1/2 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall without the Brass carry handle. The wood shows no breaks or chips. There are 12 slots for chips, holding about 237 chips in 6 colors. Most Chip sets have only three colors. This one has six, Indicating that some high end bets would be expected, not a game for the short horn that could loose the ranch in just one turn of the card. The colors are 51 cream, 60 blue, 42 white, 28 red, 8 green, and 48 purple. The chips are 1 1/4 in. in diameter, and they are not chipped or cracked.
It is a wonderful large parlor type set. This great set shows a little age but is ready for the big game of 5 Card Stud.. I have included 2 sets of old time cards.
