Description: This unique and unusual piece was manufactured by J.G. Anschutz in Ulm Germany. Wood is solid and shows only light scratches and use marks. Metal and bore are excellent. This little gun was used as an indoor target gun known as a "Zimmerstutzen", literally a "Room Connection" , a "Room Nozzle" or in our terminology a "Parlor Gun". This was a popular sport in Germany and many other countries with a huge following. This gun has about a 6 inch, 4mm chamber that a primer fits into. This opens up into a barrel that looks like a .410 bore size. Theory being that because of the low propulsion of the projectile the barrel did not need a twist to keep it stabilized. Original iron sights with a period scope of unknown make in Weaver Tip-Off Mounts. Really cool little gun with a neat history!
