An interesting heavy receiver , damascus barrel Belgium double hammer 10 ga shotgun.The damascus barrels are 29" long, with clean shiny smooth bore and the left tube has slight freckling on the muzzle end, and with a brass front bead sight.Gun locks up tight and was made for black powder shells, chambered for the 2 3/4" black powder shell with both hammers matching,and they work well with the right hammer frimg pin maing a deep impression, but the left firing pin very faint or non working.Side plate states: S.J.D.& Cie. Par'd. The French dark walnut with very fine hand checkering all intact is in very good condition, and has only slight field handling dings nothing very serious. The LOP with a very fancy black hard rubber butt-plate is about 15 1/4". Overall not a coomon gun to find in this condition. Gun has hung on the wall a long time and is dusty but solid and oil would bring it up good, escpecially the Damascus barrel pattern. .When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
