CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 SINGLE SHOT LOW WALL U.S. WINDER MUSKET BY WILBER HAUCK CA. 1930’S-50’S. 28” original Winchester barrel with original receiver side lever sight and block front with globe added. Barrel chamber modified to .22 Long Rifle and son marked on side of barrel. Right side of barrel stamped in a panel “W. HAUCK GUNSMITH”. Customized speed lock lightened hammer and tuned trigger. Custom walnut target stock and full length forend. Excellent overall with nearly all the blue and wood finish with only very slight use. Perfect working order and excellent bright bore. Original period military sling. Hauck was a well known single shot rifle maker from Arlington, Vermont.
