WW1 SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1903 .30-06 RIFLE DATED 6-18. All original and unaltered and serial numbered in 890,xxx range which is one of the main U.S. Marine Corps issue ranges. Battle used but all WW1 original issue with no post war changes. Stock with old repaired crack on forend near the forward right stock bolt and about the receiver tang. Matching handguard. Stock with the original finish and a visible inspector’s cartouche on left side of stock.Forward swivel replaced with nut and bolt. Otherwise very good with dark patina and blue evenly mixed. Working order and very good bore. Closest recorded serial number was still in U.S.M.C. service in Nicaragua in 1930.
