Reworked from military parts. Chamber left blank with DWM logo on the middle toggle link. Serial numbers positioned in a commercial fashion and matching, last two digits of the serial number appear on the side plate, rear toggle link, and takedown lever. Factory reapplied blued finish rates 90% with slight pitting on the left-side of the frame flat. Strawed smaller parts display usual amounts of wear for their age, Magazine is unnumbered and proper for this pistol. Accompanied by a commercial holster that is missing its beltloops.
This Model 1920 Commercial is of a series of iconic Luger pistol designs which were refinished for commercial sales in order to comply with the Treaty of Versailles’ demands at the conclusion of the First World War. The Luger’s appreciation among various militaries of the world was complimented by a similar admiration among civilian collectors and experts. The toggle bears the "DWM" monogram, and the Commercial crown over "N" proof is present on the receiver, barrel, and breechblock. All of the major metal components present a rust blue finish, with the smaller components being of a strawed and nitre blued finish. The serial numbers correspond on the frame, locking bolt, trigger, side plate, barrel, and rear toggle link, which are numbered in the commercial fashion.
