Payment Types Accepted: Paypal, check or money order Description: That's right. A 16 gauge ejector hammer gun and I am quite certain that the ejectors are original to the gun. What's truly amazing is that this French gun predates the ejector patents that I've read about in Crudgnington and Baker (Jeffries 1885, Perkes 1887, etc.). The lovely 30 inch Leopold Damascus barrels on this gun are stamped 1882! There is some minor corrosion to the extended back action locks but other than that the gun is in excellent conditions with much original finish to the barrels and stock and some original case coloring to the action. The ejectors work well. I've included several photos of the ejector springs that are incorporated into the barrels. Whomever engineered and built this gun was really showing off! The gun weighs in at about 6 lbs 9 ounces and handles like a dream. It also has an interested crest engraved with unicorns and ottter paws. You'll never see another gun like this one. It's only the third ejector hammer gun that I've handled in my life time and the only one that I am certain that the ejectors are original to the gun. The engineering and craftmanship is absolutely amazing! If you look closely at the last photo showing the bottom of the action you can see exactly what I'm talking about. SOLD |
