We offer you a “Gorgeous” Savage Model 24 .22 Long Rifle over .410 Case Colored Combination Rifle that was Made in 1959 with the RARE Factory Original Box.
This Savage Arms Model 24 features the color case hardened receiver with blued 24 inch barrels that has excellent bores with no issues. The bluing on the barrels is in excellent condition as you can see. Both stocks are solid with no chips or cracks. The original finish shows a few surface marks and dings from storage the last 62 years. But overall both are in excellent condition as shown. The case colors as you see a bright and vivid with a few minor marks from storage. The left side of the frame is marked “SAVAGE / SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION / CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A.”. The left side of the bottom barrel is marked “PROOF TESTED .410 BORE / 3 INCH CHAMBER”. The right side of the frame is marked with a encircled “1K”. The right shoulder of the upper barrel is marked “.22 LONG RIFLE”. The left side of the receiver is marked “MODEL 24” with an encircled “8K”. The date code of “K” tells us the rifle was manufactured in 1959. The rifle was test fired and functions just fine with no issues. The rarest part of this package is the original factory box. The box is a little rough and has two cardboard pieces glued onto the corner sections as shown. This was done to help stabilize it. Inside the box are the factory protective paper wraps for both sections of the rifle when taken down. The factory cardboard insert that separates the two sections is also still with the box.
