Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless, 4 digit serial number,Browning patent model. The first run of the 1903 Colt had "Browning Patent"roll marked on the slide with a barrel lug similar to the 1911. Colt then bought the patent from John Browning, dropped his name from the roll mark and changed barrel retainment. This Colt has original Blued finish turned patina in places.Pistol is in tight shooting condition with very good mechanicals. Made in 1904. Rare early production of a great model Colt.
