Description:
Remington model 760 in the rare 244 Rem caliber (6mm Rem). Built in 1968,this rifle has a 22" barrel with a mint bore. The rifle is well used,but not abused. It retains 90% of the original blue finish and 90% of the original wood finish. The wood has several handling marks but no cracks or serious damage. The action works smoothly and locks up tight. The rifle retains the original aluminum buttplate and the factory open sights. The 244 Rem was brought out to compete with Winchesters 243 cartridge. It was later renamed 6mm Remington to differentiate it from the 243. Very few of the 760 rifles were marked 244. This is a rare rifle that would be a great candidate for restoration or a fine shooter if left as is. C&R eliglble.
