Considered one of the finest of the pre-war autos, the Remington Model 51 was known for its sleek lines and reliability.  This one has seen some normal carry wear and use, but remains in solid good condition inside and out.  There is thinning blue on the front strap and back strap safety. the frame shows fine blue and the slide shows some blue thinning and edge wear with some evidence of very light surface rust on the left side of the slide toward the muzzle that was obviously wiped off, but not steel wooled or scoured- it is minor and surface. Grips show only very light wear and are not chipped or cracked. The grip safety and lever safety function properly and the action is tight. The bore is bright and shows minimal wear.
