Description:
In pre-World War II Germany, nearly every country boy had a single shot 6mm Flobert. They were used for plinking and shooting small pests like rats and sparrows. Under former German gun laws, non-repeaters in 6mm Flobert, rifled, and smooth bores up to 9mm were not rated as "firearms" so the 6mm Flobert single shot could be bought, carried and used without a license. The 6mm Flobert is identical with the American .22 BB and .22 CB caps. This rifle is stamped on the receiver with Anschutz emblem "JGA" in a circle with "FR. SCHAFHAUSEN, HILDESHEIM" on the top of the barrel. Caliber "6mm Flob" is stamped on the left side of the barrel. It has two 3/4" sling swivels: one attached to the underside of the barrel and the other to the bottom of the stock. The wrist of the stock is checkered. The stock has numerous dings, but no major damage. 6mm Flobert
