SPRINGFIELD 1896, KRAG JORGENSEN, CAL. .30-40, SER. 82431, THIS BEAUTY HAS RETAINED ABOUT 80-85% OF THE ORIGINAL FINSH. THE BULK OF THE LOSS IS FROM SOME SHARP
SIVERING FROM SLIGHT SCATTERED PINPRICKS AND AND FADING DUE TO AGE. ALL PARTS ARE CORRECT. THE STOCK AND FOREARM ARE GREAT RETAINING ABOUT 95% OF THE ORIGINAL LACQUER. THERE ARE NO SPLITS, OR DINGS, BUT MAYBE A SCRATCH OR TWO. THE PISTOL GRIP HAS THE PROPER CIRCLE "P", AND THERE IS A BARELY VISIBLE CARTOUCHE ON THE LEFT SIDE ABOVE THE TRIGGER GUARD. THE REAR SIGHT IS PERFECT THE SLIDE RAILS, BOLT FACE AND FEED RAMP SHOW MODEST USE. THE BORE IS STILL BRIGHT WITH CRISP DESCERNABLE RIFLING AND SCATTERED LIGHT FROST.
