This is a WW2 Long Branch-made rifle that was FTR rebuilt in 1956 at ROF Fazakerly. The metal has retained about 95-97% of an armory reapplied blue finish with some mild silvering along the exposed edges and projections. The matching numbered bolt has bright streaks of gray along the body, along with some further fading on the handle and safety lug, and a Mk. 1 rear sight is fitted. The non-matching, “C (Broad Arrow)" marked forend and handguards have been arsenal refinished to excellent shape, although the forend tie-plate is missing from just ahead of the socket (the screw is still in place, however). The buttstock is unmarked and in matching condition with scattered minor handling marks. A single unmarked magazine is included. This is a handsome, arsenal rebuilt Lee-Enfield rifle and rates fine condition overall.
